After 25 years of exemplary educational service to its community, The Andy Warhol Museum (The Warhol) sought to articulate a visionary path for the next two decades. Aspiring to empower local youth through the arts and better prepare them for the evolving future of work, the museum sought innovative ways to contribute to Pittsburgh’s downtown renaissance.
The Warhol initiated a pre-design planning process to articulate a visionary path for the next two decades. This process aimed to identify the necessary assets and facilities to manifest this ambitious vision. Chora collaborated closely with the museum’s leadership and staff, playing a pivotal role in finalizing the feasibility studies, crafting the purpose and vision documents, and developing a comprehensive business case for a sustainable expansion. These foundational elements will guide future architectural endeavors and fundraising initiatives, ensuring that The Warhol thrives as a dynamic hub for the arts and education in the heart of Pittsburgh.

“Chora’s feasibility study to develop a new business and operational model for The Warhol was conducted with precision and analytical rigor. Chora’s knowledge of art museum business and their data-driven approach resulted in solid and actionable recommendations for The Warhol and for the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.”
